AARON LEIBOWITZ:

SAXOPHONES & FLUTES

At the age of 7, Aaron picked up the sax and soon was studying with Jason Freese of Green Day. His background includes jazz, Afrobeat and EDM.

Not only is Aaron an accomplished saxophonist, he is also a flutist, producer, and DJ. He is currently a member of Grammy-nominated electronic group Zhu, 1/2 of Indie electronic group Hello Yes, SoCal event lead and DJ for Golden Bell Music, and a long-standing member of The Steve Bardwil Band.

Notable accolades include multiple co-writes with Zhu on albums GENERATIONWHY, RINGOS DESERT, DREAMLAND 2021, and GRACE. Aaron has credits and co-writes with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, 24kGoldn, Yuna, Channel Tres, Sofi Tukker, and Sabrina Claudio.

With Zhu in 2022, they sold out the famous Red Rocks 6 nights in a row, headlined Outside Lands Music Festival, EDC Las Vegas, Lightning in a Bottle, and has toured the globe several times over. Additionally he has performed live with legends Trombone Shorty, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Dave Matthews, and Solomon Burke.

Also noteworthy, Aaron was an early collaborator with Jason Mraz in his live show and earned a Gold Record for saxophone work on Mraz’s platinum album WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.

He thinks the success of the Steve Bardwil Band is their cohesiveness and commitment. After so many years together, they really understand and trust each other and each is a valued contributor to each song.

Steve likes to call Aaron, “the wind beneath our wings.”
